Teardown of a fairly old Ademco 5852 Glass Break Detector and Transmitter. Designed so if someone shatters a window, it trips the alarm.
Passive Infrared Detectors are a fairly common home security device that usually just sit on a wall and blink red when you walk by. This is an older model, and it’s fairly interesting to see how complicated what on the outside seems so simple.
